Hello. After the new dlc dropped I started playing and everything was going fine.
Around the 1600s my game started freezing around the middle of each month.
When I check the error logs I get this:

I'm not sure if its a dlc conflict but it makes the game border on unplayable and just want to know how to fix it.
I have already deleted the game and re-installed and deleted my documents as well.
 
Was this in a campaign started under the new patches 1.35.x ? If under an older patch, you'll need to revert to that version in the Steam betas tab for the game, to continue it.
 
This is only a problem that has cropped up with the new patch. I never experienced this issue prior to the Domination DLC release. I've had this happen in two separate saves that started in 1.35.x. It doesn't actually crash the game but it does freeze the game every month for 10 or more seconds before continuing. It seems to only happen in the the age of absolutism. I do not know if it continues as the game borders on unplayable when it freezes every month.

Is there maybe a war between two AIs which have colonial nations? That causes freezes in some cases since version 1.34.

Maybe attach a problem save file here to see if we get the same problem.

I believe its possible but I have played in 1.34 with colonial nations and it never had this occur. It seems to specifically occur in 1.35.x once the age of absolutism starts. It could also possibly be because of some Mil tech milestone as the output log mentions "missing unit_4". I just don't think it could be the colonial nation issue due to the fact that its never happened this bad before and I've finished games in 1.34 without this happening.

I had a look at your saves. The 1614 save definitely has the colonial war issue and the 1612 save seems to have a minor version of it(about a 1 second freeze for me when opening the peace deal screen against Portugal as GB). This issue has definitely existed in 1.34.5 as well, but it might have become more frequent in 1.35 (or more people are playing right now, so I see more saves with it). As your save is not ironman, you can workaround this issue by ending the AI war in some way. For example, you could use the console command tag POR to switch over to Portugal and then make a peace deal with GB(e.g. for "concede carribean" and some money) and then use the command tag PRU to switch back to Prussia. Don't unpause while switched to another country, because then the AI will mess with your country and the AI might lose its lucky nation status. Opening the peace deal screen might also hang the game for a few seconds, because the freeze is caused by the peace deal calculation.
 
Is there anyway to fix this issue without console commands? I'm also playing an mp game with my friends and we haven't reached the 1610's yet (which is when this keeps happening). I feel like its more than a colonial war issue as I was playing as colonial empires in the previous patch and not once encountered this issue.
I also have this Japan game that I was playing in Ironman that I can't really fix with console commands.
I just feel like its an additional issue besides the colonial war issue.
If that is the only issue then I'll have to deal with it somehow but I'm not sure how I've never encountered this issue until now when I've been playing for a while.

I had a look at your Japan save and I didn't see such a big issue there. I let it run for a few months and then a new war between Spain and Portugal started and this caused some minor freezing.

I just feel like its an additional issue besides the colonial war issue.
Do you have a save which has a reproducible freezing which can't be solved by ending all wars which involve a AI with CNs? You can use the website https://pdx.tools to melt an ironman to do such a test.

This issue doesn't happen with all colonial wars and it hasn't always been in the game. The first saves which I have seen with the issue were from 1.34.5, but it is quite possible that the other 1.34 patches already had the problem, but I don't think that the issue has existed in versions before 1.34. And as I said, it is possible that 1.35 made the issue worse. I reported the issue to the developers, so I hope that it will get fixed in one of the next minor patches.
