Help Can't load saved games!

Hello all
I recently started playing with EEP v1.1, and now I have a problem. Every time I try to load a saved game, It gets about 10% into the loading bar, and crashes back to the desktop, with no error messages, or indeed any warning at all. I've started two EEP campaigns, and had this happen to both. Even the autosaves are no good! I am launching the game via the EEP icon. (I also tried launching via the regular EUII icon, but that dosn't work either.)
My system is a P-III with 390 MB RAM, a Soundblaster 128 AWE, a Savage4 32 MB vidio card, I have Directex 8.1, Windows 98, and the latest drivers installed.
I had made some modifications to the provence data file, but this was some time ago, and EEP1.0/EUII1.05 worked fine with these changes. ( I added a couple of ports to some coastal provences.)
BTW I have done a search of this board, and couldn't find any previous threads that seemed relevant.

Read his post. He says he does.
Anyways this has happened to me before but only on one campaign, though I only have done one so far. So I don't know if this is a real bug with the EEP. Also to note is that I made modifications to the save-game file so my error could be related to that and this could be a coincidence.

It happened to me too.
I did install EEP but I was already in the middle of the game with my regular GC.
When the game strarts no problem to load my previously saved game but it is impossible to reload when I'm playing. It crashes and I get the desktop screen.
It happened to me all the time I try to reload from inside the game. I did not happen before the installation of EEP.

your saved game file must be corrupt. check if

occurs twice in your file.

No, it is not.

yes - i've just had this same problem - I deleted the "La Rochelle" that was with France (the other is with FPR?), and my save game loads now - what gives?

i think it has to do with the fact that la rochelle belongs to both england and france, according to their eep 1419 setup files (the .inc files).
