Help! cant play the game!

Hi! i just recently bought Europa Universalis 1 but i cant get it to work. When i start the game the screen is black but i hear sound. The game crashes short thereafter. I dont know what to do.. I really want to play the game. What to do?

In case it is the Bink Video player acting up, rename the folder AVI (in your EU directory) to AVI_old (assuming there is one in EU1, I think there is) and try again.

Also close anything unnecessary in the background, and check your drivers are all up to date.

I uninstalled all my codecs and tried again and it worked. I´ll try renaming as you suggested. It would be fun to be able to watch movies on the computer so ill install them again.
