Hello everybody.
I'm in need of help, because I'm in a complicated situation with Cities Skylines.
The situation is like "I love Cities Skylines, but I hate playing it".
Cities Skylines is the game that I love the most in the gaming world, but I don't think I was born to play it, because whenever I try to play this absurd congestion happens.
Cars want to use a single lane and it ends up reaching a point where it becomes impossible to play.

I have 1800 hours in normal Cities Skylines, and until today I haven't been able to complete 100% and now with Cities Skylines Remastered I have almost 60 hours, but I already feel like giving up. no matter what map i put it on, no matter how i build the roads, that the game ends up breaking.

Maybe it's the way I build the city and I would really appreciate it if you could give me tips on how to fix this.

Thanks in advance and if this is in the wrong place, I apologize.

There's loads of tips on YouTube for vanilla traffic mate. It's mostly about the zoning style, not really the road layout..or at least thats worth noting. I.e at it's basic level everything will try to get to it's destination as fast as possible. you appear to only have one highway ramp which also suggests everything in your city is coming right in through the same open door to get anywhere, and when you have a load of grids of course even IRL traffic tends to be heavy, so my tip is try to do less grids, or at least reduce the use of junctions. Traffic lights on heavy routes is also a terrible idea in vanilla. Making roads bigger and wider doesn't tend to help as the route the cims are taking is the same regardless so try and use the views to work out where everyone is headed and then build bypasses or at least alternatives to get there. Hope that helps.

Alright, I'll watch some videos on YT and try to fix it with your tips.
Thanks for answering.

I'd advise you search for road hierarchy and lane mathematics tutorials on YT for vanilla cities. Those two concepts will really help you manage your road layout once you understand them.

Road Hierarchy and Lane Math with dedicated turn lanes, are your best tools.
Be sure to read the Steam Forum also. There are threads and videos on the subject.
May I suggest you watch YouTuber Biffas fix your cities videos. Especially on vanilla fixes. Biffas Anarteaca series was all vanilla.
I almost always turn off traffic lights and rarely use roundabouts. If your building interchanges try to prevent traffic from crossing over the opposing traffics lanes. I build not so pretty trumpets, but they work. I try to give the cims lots of alternate routes to get around. My city I'm watching while typing has a population of 168k and traffic is running at 84%. Use Mass Transit options to get your cims off the streets and Cargo rail to move cargo across longer distances on your map. Happy building and stop back if you need help.

I'll take a look at Biffas' videos (I already know his channel) and the forum.

I do love a good roundabout though .. just has to be big, use highway to stop pedestrians walking across and you need to create loads of nodes on it for the traffic to change lanes in my experience, and if they get overloaded then yes, you have to try to use the views to identify the destination of cims and then provide other alternative routes.

Thanks to everyone who responded.

Apparently I managed to solve the problem, following the designer of this Youtube:

The city is going from strength to strength and I am loving how the result is turning out.

Sure, it's not identical to the YouTube guy's city, but it's functional.

Thank you all again.
