Help. How do I adjust the refresh rate in HOI2:DD?

When I launch the game it is at 75hz refresh rate. I want to play at 100hz but there is no graphics options in the game and no way to adjust this. I know the game is capable of 100hz because I used to play it with my old computer.

I have a Nvidia card and tried to use reforce but the game will not launch if I force the refreshrate with reforce?

Sys specs Nvidia Geforce 6100 91.47 latest drivers
Windows XP
Athlon 64 3800+
Sony G420 19" CRT monitor

Try to rename avi folder to avi.old. Then the video won't start.

Could not initialize video is a message in reaction to failure to initialize DirectX for the video mode the game wants to use. Which is full screen, 1024 x 768, 16 bit color depth.

Instead of using a third party tool to force the refresh rate in DirectX, try adjusting it with Microsoft's own tool, dxdiag.
