I somehow managed to fù$k my version of EU up.
Every time I try to load a savegame or start a new game the game crashes to the desktop. I've tried reinstalling the game and downloaded the 1.10 patch. No change. It always crashes when the game is 'loading scenario'. Can anyone help me?
I couldn't bear to live without EU.

Keeping this at the top

Ugly Duck and other Tech Forum mods may need more info about your system to help.

Things like:

- did you add any new software or run a utility that would affect your dll files or registry?

- what is your system? soundcard, video, RAM, processor, MB etc?

Good luck.

uninstall the game completely first, by performing the uninstall and deleting the directory and the registry entries.

Than reinstall and it should work.

Otherwise, buy EU 2, it's out now :D

thank you

I managed to fix it, I uninstalled all my other games and now EU works like it should. Is this some special Microsoft feature?
Kill all other software?

And I will buy EU2, when it is released in Europe:(

Now that is weird!
I would suggest that you reinstall the other games one at a time and see which is causing the problem. I cannot understand this as EU doesnt alter any system files and so should not be affected by other games.....

I too will buy EU2 *when* Ubisoft release it in Europe..... why they cannot release the English version now beats me - but thats Ubisoft....

Something you installed might have screwed up a DLL or something, that's what I suspect.

I reinstalled my games and it looks like Cossacks: european wars crashed EU. Needless to say it was quickly removed.

Thanks for trying to help.

If you want to keep Cossacks, install it first, then the patchesm than EU. It should work.

I do also have Cossacks, and it didn't seem to crash my EU.
But for some games, they can crash each other. No matter how they are installed. E.G., "Max Payne" and "Deus Ex" confuse each other's system files, so they can't work together. I think EU doesn't do that :)
