I know on one of the PDX podcasts Shams and the other poor guy's name I forgot, they talk about the PDX launcher and plans to improve it. I hadn't even heard of it before then, and I actually liked the idea. But after setting it up, it really was rather underwhelming. Are there still plans to expand and improve the launcher? I know a lot of people hate having multiple platforms for games, and I get why, but I don't mind.

I don't want to hand Valve my money when I can hand it to a publisher / developer that makes games I like. Or a store front that at least curates the games and sends me interesting things to look at.

I like the idea of a platform that is everything Paradox, with lots of interaction and advertising for interesting games. I suppose the website already does that, but I think an application can do more than a website, though perhaps I'm way off. I'd love the idea of the app also offering PDX's streams and YouTube content in one place. I'm not advocating for removing the games and other content from other places, just making the PDX Launcher into a place for everything Paradox. As it is now, it has a limited selection of games, you can't shop on it as far as I know, and I can't even have it discover my already installed games.

I know what I'm talking about is asking a lot, but as it stands now, no one is going to use it. People barely tolerate uPlay and Origin, and I only turn those on to shop or play a game. Neither platform offers anything compelling. The Paradox Launcher leveraging Paradox's unique identity might draw in users, but not in its current state.

This is just my thoughts at the moment and it might just be wishful thinking, but I wanted to share them nonetheless

Don't see where you need "help" in your post..
Rather misleading thread title.
