I've been unable to find any info about this thing and it's killing me here... For some reason or another, in my Brandenburg game, newest beta release and 1.4.2a EEP, I get a crash as soon as I try to load a game that has progressed past Dec 30 1583.
I've tried to see what might be causing the problems, and searches on the forum have done nothing to help me. I noticed that sibir was getting two kings the same day, one dying on the same day as he rises to power appearantly, and I figured that might be it, but a removal of that monarch in a save does nothing.

I'm really frustrated right now after finally getting to vassalize the poles.
I haven't altered any saves prior to the save so I know it's not my own tinkering that's causing this... Any help would be appreciated

Go figure, and no, that didn't help much...
That was just the only thing I could see that might be causing the bug in the timeframe I have.. I've got a december 20 save that works fine, and the autosave and all subsequent saves all fail to load (crash halfway through the cycle), so I figured I'd have a look at what's happening in between, and well.. there's nothing, apart from the double sibir coronation and another ruler being appointed somewhere else

puh-leeeze, anyone got a hint for poor little me? I've been sitting here all day trying to decide whether to just give up and start a new country, but I can't find anything very appealing anyway :(

Well, I don't know about 1584. But my EEP crashes in 1683 no matter what nation I play.

So far I have Viyangar (sp?), OE, Persia, Denmark, CoH, and I believe a German nation or 2 as well, that ALL crashes in 1683. I have no idea why, and it is rather annoying ...

All nations that I have played under 1.4.2a has crashed in in 1683 - can anyone tell me what's wrong here?

EDIT: I found an answer elsewhere. I can't see how I can delete this post ... but if any moderator sees this, they are welcome to remove it as it only takes up space and serves no purpose ...

That's the china-manchu thing isn't it? Well, it'd be alot easier on me if I at least knew someone else was having problems at this point :(
I'm going to test-run a previous save (load, set speed to extremely fast, and just say no to everything :)) up to this point in time and see what happens

Just thought I'd bump it one last time before I give up entirely on EEP and a damn good Brandenburg game if I may say so myself ;)
Crashing saves are hard to fix. If you have a save that will lead to a crash after some time, I'd be very interested to get my hands on it.

Alright, this save without fail leads to a corrupt save in the course of 11 days. It was mostly good fortune that I vassalized the poles before the end of the year, which is why I saved in the first place

if you figure something out, it'd be awesome, then if you don't, I'll just play a whole lot of AGCEEP :)

do a search through the file for the stub cities that cause the problem and delete them. I can't remember their IDs but they're probably either in the China or Manchu file.
