Help! New to Modding

Hey all, I'm entirely new to modding so please forgive any ignorance I may display.

I'm wanting to edit province names in EUII. Firstly, is that possible? If so, how do I go about it? If it's something that's far too complex and time consuming to explain here, could anybody point me in the direction of a good How to Mod guide or something?

Any help would be REALLY appreciated!

Bible for modders is Havard's Bible. I recommend you to read it before starting any modification.

For provinces, edit province.csv (located in db folder) with notepad or any text editor. Name of province is the second "column" (just after the first ';') in each line.

You can edit the names as used in messages etc, but not as they appear on the map (unless you re-do the entire map). They are listed in province.csv
