Hello, whenever I alt-tab Stellaris the game freezes, zooms in and out slowly, then successfully switches tabs. It massively increases the time between swapping tabs. This was not the case earlier and I'm not sure what changed. Does anyone have a solution to this?

I should add that the last time this happened it was because the screen resolution and refresh rate was different from the game, but I've checked at they're both the same.
Does it matter if it is in fullScreen, borderless or windowed?
DXDIAG is a program you run from the Windows search box on the task bar. After running it will open a window and start collecting info with a progress bar in the lower-left corner. When it completes click the 'save all information' button and save it to a file then attach that file here.
Please attach here your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/settings.txt and pdx_settings.txt .
From your Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/logs/ folder, attach here system.log , error.log .

The issue was that for some reason the game changed my settings to fullscreen instead of borderless window. Changing it to BW resolved my issue. Thank you very much for the follow up!
