Help with getting players connected in multiplayer: Can't join or can't see the game

My discord server has half a dozen players eager to play multiplayer, but are currently dissuaded because for whatever reason they are unable to connect and I can't help them. I wish there was some website or person to contact about their issue. I had an issue for awhile but was magically fixed when I upgraded my pc.

When using radmin vpn I had to make an firewall exception to darkest hour and microsoft directplay helper to find my friend.
