Hey forum members,

I'm an avid EUIII fan, and decided to try out CK while MMP is brewing. I love CK, and I would really like to install the DVIP mod, but I am confused as how to do so.

I'm a pretty regular sampler of mods in EUIII, but the system with CK seems to different. I tried taking all the contents of the respective files (scenario, db, etc.) and copy/pasting them into the main CK folders, while saying "yes to all" when the overwrite popup appeared.

I have installed the CoA part of the mod, and nothing seems wrong with CK, but nothing seems different either (ex: playing as the independent Duchy of Aquitaine, I could not form the corresponding Kingdom).

If I could get any pointers, that would be great.

Well you seem to have installed it correctly, but you seem to have installed the wrong version -- the kingdom of Aquitaine is not in the 'main' DVIP, but in the More Kingdoms addon. This should be installed after the DVIP, and adds the new kingdoms to the game.

Even with the main DVIP you should be able to see differences between the DVIP and the unmodified game though, most easily in culture: if e.g. Ireland is Gaelic, you've got the DVIP. If it's still Irish, something went wrong.

If you really want the most up-to-date version, I recommend the DVIP:Wales which includes the Kingdom of Aquitaine as well. It is also Jord's mode, and the one he and I play regularily.
