Does anyone know if it's possible to change river penalty modifier? I.e. from 1 to 2. I can't find this modifier anywhere in the files.

Also, I was going to tweak some values of different terrain types (movement, defender modifier ect.) but when I check terrain.txt in /map folder I see only farmland (probably meaning plains here), ocean, PTI and zillion types of forests. Where are mountains, marshes, hills  In EU3 everything is terrain.txt. And what's up with all these forest types? Why so many?

Have a look at the terrain.bmp file. The terrain is very limited, desert, farmland and forests. Not sure why they left out mountainous terrian. Perhaps to improve AI.

The different types of trees, I dont know either, maybe just for the variety on the new terrain map.

Some mountainous movement penalties would be nice.

So there is no difference in speed of moving through plains and mountains? Insanity  This game has such potential it makes me cry when I see how unfinished, rushed and - unfortunately - deserted by the devs it is. Let's take climate - it has a climate system like in EU3, but someone didn't find like 30 minutes to fill the damn climate.txt with province numbers and put in a few snowy textures to make it work in vanilla. This is waaaaay below PI standards.
