I recently rediscovered my copy of Hearts of Iron 2, and have decided to get playing that again (yes, yes, I know HoI3, blah, blah, blah).
So, I've installed it, and have now been looking for the CORE2 mod to install. However, having looked everywhere I can think of, including the Terranova forums, I am unable to find it. I can find plenty of versions for Armageddon and Doomsday, but I am looking for one that works for the HoI2 vanilla version (I never got around to buying Doomsday or Armageddon, and what with HoI3 I never will...).
On top of that, I vaguely recall that the instal was a major pain in the royal behind- not least, no doubt, because my understanding of windows is... pretty much non-existent.
In addition, I had a question in regard to game run-time: I recall there being a mod (not sure if it is included in the CORE mod I am looking for) that extends the end-date of the game quite considerably. I would very much like to know whether this is included in the mod, or where I can find the mod that it is included in (which must also be compatible with CORE mod that I am looking for).
So, to summarize, what I would like is the following:
1. Where I might find a core version that works with the vanilla HoI2
2. Where I might find a mod extending the game's end-date that is compatible with Q1
3. Step-by-step (or link to such) instructions detailing exactly how to instal, set up, etc both of the above mods
I would appreciate an answer ASAP, since I'd like to get kicking again (and will probably forget that I posted this thread all too soon).
