Heroes All Have the Same Last Name

Description​

Whenever I recruit a a new hero they always have the same last name. Further, hitting randomize only changes the first name, not the last name. This happened in both my primal game and barbarian game.

Steps to reproduce​

Recruit a hero, customize them, and look at the name. Hit the randomize button.

If you hired the hero from a free city, that is normal. Every free city has a ruling house, and their heroes all share the same name. You can type in a custom name, but the game will keep their house name when randomizing the name.

Hey Badguy, Heroes from the same Free City are typically all part of the same family and will indeed have the same last name.
