Historical Monarch's Events?

Posted this in the Gen Topics section but it's not gettin much attention - seems to be sliding down the pole faster than a $10 stripper working for a $40 tip...

So I'll try it here, since it does kinda pertain to the IGCI've seen this mentioned in other threads but I haven't seen a definate expanation as to the effect of saving &/or reloading game files has on historical events that are keyed to happen during the reign of a particular historical monarch.

I've read that if you save at the beginning of the reign of one of these types of monarchs, then leave the game, and come back later, all pre-set historical events will be cleared and will NOT occure.

Is this true?

If it is, then what, if any, is the effect of simply SAVING a game at the beginning of the kings reign and NOT reloading the game - simply returning to the same game and playin on thru - will this cause the events to NOT occur?

Does anyone have a list of all the kings in the IGC for which these types of monarch related events are programmed to occurr?

I think the monarchs listed in the back of the manual reflect those in the normal GC but does the IGC add any more? (and is this assumption accurate, re: monarchs listed in the manual = special events)

Any help would be appreciated...

IF u exit, reload later and so, they will be gone. However just saving doesn't make them disappear.

The lists can be found in the monarch events file in the db folder. Mostly it are the most famous kings anyway like Elisabeth, Karl V, Peter the Great and so on.

Well, sniff, we do attract a better quality of poster than the rabble in the General Discussions Forum.

As to the chickens, one must excuse the aristocracy their indulgences. Anyway, getting too expensive - I may have killed the chicken that laid the white egg.

To clarify: Is it the case that you will no longer get monarch historical events for a given monarch once you load a save game?

Hmph. I'll have to stop playing England. Takes me days to get through their long-lived monarchs.
