Chapter one:
The Times, March 8, 1936.
”German re-occupies the Rhineland!
Once again, Germany under it’s führer, Adolf Hitler, has broken the treaty of Versaille. Tonight he ordered German troops to enter the de-militarized industrial zone around the rivers the Rhine and Ruhr. The goverment announces that they will not act, and no military expanding more than the current one. However, a rearmament of existing units will take place. Currently, tens of thousands of men is missing in the lines, and the divisions are often down to less than 50% percent of their real size, but the majority are down to 40% or less. However, this will shrink the unemployment with two or three percents, which is already lowered with some percents by the creation of 12 divisions, containing of 20000 men each, totaly 240000 soldiers.

The parliament, 23rd of March.
The members of the parliament stopped discussing, as the king, George V, entered the room.
“Gentlemen,” he said. “Today, the civil war in China came to a peace treaty, called the Sian treaty. The nationalists and communists has now settled, and even forged an alliance. However, it was not fair play, since Chiang-Kai Chek got kidnapped, and the nationalists gave up military acess to the communists. We are here to discuss how we should act.”
Sir Michael Birch stood up.
“Yes, Sir Michael.” The king said.
“Gentlemen, we must immidietly sanction China. If this rebellion is allowed to continue, we will soon see another Soviet Union, and then both the largest, and most populated countries would be communists, and that can not be accepted.”
Another man stood up.
“Yes, Adam.” The king said.
“The rebellion contains just a few hundred thousand, and, as you said, China is the heaviest populated country in the world. There’s no need to interfere. We should instead look at the growing fascist threat in Europe. Germany, Hungaria, Portugal and Italy have already fallen to this growing menace, and you’re worried over a petty rebellion over in China. Look at Spain, instead. The dissent there is growing for every day, due to the incompetent goverment. They must be supported, not China. We have no need to sanction China, not even a reason.”
Sir Michael stood up again.
“I am well aware of the current events in Europe, but we must not overloook that communism is dangerous too. If becomes China falls to the communists, a new world war is an always near threat!”
“And Germany?” Adam asked.
“Hitler is harmless, and Germany needs stability after that terrible Weimar republic.”
“Look how he treats the people that do not look like everyone else, like the jews! And haven’t you read Mein Kampf? He’s insane, I tell you. He’s mad, he hates us for Versaille, he hates all Slavic people, and most of all, he hates jews. He constantly tries to send them from Germany, and I even overheard that he wanted them isolated on Madagaskar.”
“How do Stalin treat people then?”
“I didn’t say that Stalin was nice, did I?”
“No, but...”
“Stalin is as mad, but he terrorizes everyone, not just Jews and Slavs.”
“Russians are Slavs, Mister Blair.” Sir Michael said to Adam.
“You know what I meant, Sir Birch! Germany needs to be punished for the Rhineland and rearmament.”
“Who got the power to do that? Sure, France and us have eighty divisions, but ours are spread over the world, and the French are not as well equipped as the German ones, neither are ours.”
”Let’s not forget the commonwealth!”
“Are you suggesting that we are to rely on some former colonies armed forces?”
“Well, we would probably be up in at least ninety divisions.”
“They are former colonies, Mister Blair, former colonies.”
“That doesn’t make them worse soldiers, does it?”
“Well, no, but...”
“They are almost as well-equipped as we are, and quantity always wins over quality.”
The king interferred and ended the debate.
“Let’s vote about it. Yes are for intervention, none are for white votes and no are for non-intervention.”
Apparently, Adam Blairs strong and fierce arguing against intervention had some effect. 81% voted against intervention, 9% voted white and only 10% voted for intervention.
