HOI Anthology Installation Problem

Need instructions to install.
HOI Anthology does not come with installation instructions.

Wanted to play Arma, and then patch it; so first installed HOI Doomsday, then installed Arma into same folder (Arma is the upgrade for Doomsday, right?).

Game loads, allows selection of country, settings; but ctd's when game starts..

Am using Vista OS. Installed both Armageddon and Doomsday from disc [Paradox HOI Anthology] into separate folders with out patches. BOTH start up just fine, and BOTH ctd when start game button pushed.
What's going on?!

Will be getting a new gaming rig next week, and will purchase HOI3 + dlc's then; but wanted to get a little practice in with Arma first. Own and have played many Paradox titles (EU1/2/3, Vicki1, HOI1&2, Rome, etc.) and have never had an install issue like this. Help would be most appreciated.

On my german Antholgy CD Armageddon was a full version installer. With Vista/7 you often get problems if you install games into c:\program files - please always install in a folder outside of this structure (use c:\games\Armageddon for example)
