HoI crashes completely

Make sure you have renamed the AVI folder to AVI_back.
Set your color depth to 16BIT.

Try that and see if it helps.
 
You will see it in the HOI folder, (Where you installed HOI).
 
Also known to cause trouble with some vid cards in game as well.

Upgrade now you need 9 for Vicky. :)
 
You can disable it if you wish but I don't think that is your problem.
