Every time I try to open something in my HoI editor my computer crashes,i have my comp at 16 bits,my game version is 1.50c what could be the problem?

This should be in the support forum. Please give your system stats (CPU, RAM, video, OS version, etc.). This shouldn't be affected by the new 1.06 patch since the editor hasn't changed. They may also want to see the output of DXDiag.
