Do i even need the cd to play the game?

One day i just started it up and didnt realize the cd wasnt in and it played fine.

Ive been playing without the cd for a good while now without any noticeable problems.

Would the cd do anything for me?

No. All Paradox's games don't require a CD, although EU required it for music.

You need the cd if you want to reinstall the game...
