When I click on the Hearts of Iron 2 shortcut, the screen first blacks out, then HoI2 minimizes. When I try to maximize it, it does the same thing. How do I fix this?

If you need to know, I have--
Windows 7 32 bit
1280x720 screen resolution
Intel Premium CPU 1.79 GHz

I have not installed any mods at all and I have the vanilla version of HoI2.
 
Let me guess this is a netbook.

Minimum screen resolution for HOI2 is 1024 by 768. if you can get the netbook to display this resolution then HOI2 will work.
