This is a idea at the same time I'm trying to make it but first of here is what i've sketched so far.

Homeworld Government will add a new option to the Homeworld tab of custom Species creation. Labled "Homeworld Government". This tab give you the ability to change the type of government the homeworld have. giving you different pros and coons depending on the type. Below you'll se a montage that i've been drawn together and i will explain the different option below.

  • Unitedworld Under One Nation (Default) - This is the default selection and will basically have start of as the vanilla game.
    [No effect]

  • Divided with a Cooperative Space Agency - The world is divided in between many different nations were the poorer nations is exploited by the richer nations. Some kind of united space agency handle galactic affairs.
    [Ethnic Divergence +5%, Homeworld Mineral and Energy output -10%]

  • Divided with a Separate Space Government - The world is divided between different nations and smaller states. With different economies and social structures. The space government is declared as a separate state by all the nations and have its own way of governing and politics with the homeworld.
    [Homeworld Mineral and Energy output -20%]

  • Divided in Turmoil - The homeworld is divided in turmoil small nations states, clans and factions fight between them self and war and internal conflict rages all over the world. But yet some nations cooperated to reach the stars.
    [Ethnic Divergence +30%, Homeworld Mineral and Energy output -20%]

The effect will add a modifier to the system and follow the government type of the Empire. If you update or change it it will in turn unite the world via a event chain and research.

This is a rough sketch i just wanted to share the idea.

How hard would it actually be to add this? does anyone have any experience with altering and or adding options this?
