————————— Patch Notes: XBOX, Microsoft Store —————————
This patch features improvements to the save system on Xbox and Microsoft Store PC.
Thank you all for your grace and patience while we rushed to get fixes live for the save bug!
Today, we are pleased to release a fix that should allow players to create more manual saves and auto-saves, with relaxed limitations. We plan to continue making improvements to the save system, though we prioritized stabilizing the system first. You can read patch notes and a more detailed description of the fix below.
————————————————————————
In order to improve save stability, we need players to reduce their active campaign save slots to 4.
If you currently have more than 4, the additional Campaigns are highlighted in red. They will not be auto-deleted. You may delete any Campaign from the list to reduce your count to 4. This will help to improve save stability.
If you currently have 4 or fewer active saved Campaigns, you will not be able to exceed 4. If you start a new game and do not have an open Campaign slot, you will need to choose a Campaign to overwrite before auto-saves will begin.
Each of the 4 assigned Campaigns may now contain up to 5 manual saves and up to 3 autosaves. Campaigns from the previous patch may have 4 autosaves in them; we do not anticipate this extra auto-save will cause problems. If they still would - please report issues to us using our Forum or Discord!
Red-marked Campaigns can be loaded, but cannot contain any more save files. If a player wishes to use a campaign that is currently red, they must remove other campaigns until their desired campaign rises to one of the top 4 spots.

- Improved performance

Known Issues:
———————— I can’t create a new Save file? ———————
Xbox users who have 4 or more Campaigns will not be able to create a new Campaign.
A campaign cannot have more than 5 manual saves.
———————— I can’t create a new Save? —————————
If you are trying to edit a RED campaign, you will not be able to create a new save in that Campaign. We recommend that, if you would like to keep this specific campaign and add saves to it, remove other campaigns until this one is in one of the Top 4 campaigns on the list.
If you have 5 Manual saves in a Campaign, that is the maximum amount per Campaign. You will need to select a Manual save to Overwrite.
———————— I can’t create a new Campaign? ——————
If you have 4 or more Campaigns, you cannot create a new Campaign at all. You will need to select one of the 4 Campaigns to overwrite, or remove Campaigns until you have less than 4.
———————— I have 4 auto saves? ——————————
This is an unfortunate and expected impact from the bandaid fix released Friday October 6th. The 4th autosave is left-over and will never change and you cannot delete it. This should not affect your campaign and it can be ignored, but if you’d like to get rid of it you can with a workaround. You can make a new campaign with your current progress and start a fresh file.
To do so:
- From the main menu, open the Load Game menu and remove a campaign you no longer need. Ensure you have one open Campaign slot available.
- Load the game you wish to continue
- Open the Save Menu and select the empty Campaign Slot
- Save the game in the empty Campaign Slot.
Light the way, Lamplighters!
