In some of the pre-release streams I noticed that people had a different skin for their rocket than the default skin. This might be a pre-order and / or deluxe edition bonus, but if so I should have it. How do I activate it? The default skin is nice, but boring :)

Once the Rocket is landed and has deployed fully (ie. it is open en listing the resources it is carrying in the sidebar to the right) you can select it and hit the paintbrush at the bottom of the panel to cycle through the available skins.

Yeah, I have that too, it defaults to the Sweden inspired Trail Blazer skin, it might be a feature of the First Colony Edition.
I personally prefer the white default skin, so I've switched all my rockets over, but you can only do that after they've landed.

I also have first colony edition (which is just deluxe edition + 2 expansions). However, I'm not getting the Swedish skin. I wonder if that's because I have the GOG version of the game rather than the Steam version.

The Tailblazer Skins are exclusive for signing up on https://www.survivingmars.com/

I see. Well I've signed up there too, but I still didn't get it. It's no big deal obviously, but it's a little disappointing that the GOG version doesn't have all the perks, including Mods.

*update* I realised I wasn't logged into my account. Problem now solved. :)

However still no mods for GOG :(

Hopefully that'll be resolved eventually.

I pre-ordered the First Colony edition on Steam and can't change my rocket's skin. There isn't a paintbrush icon on it or any of the rovers. I've gone to the official web site and all I get is a login option (no sign up option). Clicking login attempts to do something then after a short time the page just refreshes with no indication of being logged in.

Make sure you're logged into your paradox account within the game.

I've been logged in from within the game. I just double checked and it does say account linked when I click on Paradox account from the main menu. Then I loaded the game and still no paintbrush with the rocket selected.
