It's downloaded and I have a clean 1.00 version of EU2. So what do I do now?

The 1.08 patch you should just be able to run it like any program, unless the site you downloaded it from crempressed it. If that is the case then un zip or unrar it into any folder you want, then run the patch from there.
It is only the beta patches you would need to uncompress into the EU2 folder.

Hi I am new here, but I was told I could get a new patch for eu2 a game I enjoy a lot.
I hav same problem, when I try to apply it just exits, I think am running version 1.00.? What came out of the box.
Do I need to download anything else? Maybe I need to download all other patches before 1.08?

Which version did you buy anyway? There may be a chance that the publisher has already included 1.08 in the box, in which case the patcher doesn't have to do anything 
When you start eu2, in the main menu screen it should report a version number. What does it say there?

ohhh it was v1.08 allready, my mistake didn't notice that, I will try updating to 1.09 later today if I get the time.
