How do I go underground on PS4

Hello Everyone

I have just recently purchased below and beyond dlc for my ps4.

The issue I am having is that I do not know how toggle from the surface to the underground (where my explorer is). I have tried the R1 button but that doesn't seen to go to the icons on the right (asteroid and underground).

Please someone help!!!
