How do I install the latest 1.3b patch?

Just realised there is a 1.3b patch for Hearts of Iron II available from the Europa Universalis website.

How do I install it as it seems to be a WIN.RAR file?

Is it an official patch and will it be safe/stable to use?

The 1.3b patch is an OFFICIAL AI update. You will need a program capable of unpacking *.rar files (search google for WinRar for a free download). Just unpack it into your game directory (default is ...\paradox interactive\doomsday) and allow it to overwrite the files.

Thanks. Is this a Doomsday only patch then? I only have Hearts of Iron II (the original release) with the 1.3a patch.

Nm I what I said earlier 1.3b is the latest patch for original HoI2 they really need to update their sticky in the tech support forum. Found the info by looking original HoI2 forum normally I only look the the doomday forum.

Actualy the thread is correct, 1.3a is the last offical pattch for HOI2.
1.3B is just an AI update for those wishing it. That is why it is released differently.

Patch and Update mean two different things contractualy if you get my meaning.

I have added a note about it in that thread and some basic instructions.
