Hello,

When I launch Stellaris, the audio of the commercial clip about the latest DLC ("the visitors came seeking not friend...") start playing every 10 seconds during the loading screen, but also during the game, as if it was on some background task. It completely ruins the game, since it's either playing with muted sounds or with that clip playing over, and over, and over again.

Do somebody know how I could turn it off?

I can't duplicate this, I just get the normal game music.

If you turn the sound off in the game can you still hear it? If so it's coming from outside the game; unload Discord, Spotify, Youtube or anything like that before starting the game.

Thanks. The clip starts running when I hit the "launch game" or "resume" buttons on the launcher and the game starts loading, and it instantly stops when I exit the game, so my impression was that it came either from the launcher, from steam, or from the game itself. And discord wasn't running at that time.
But it's an old, Win7 computer, so weird stuff can happen.

I'll try what you suggested (muting the game) next time I'm on that computer.

I think I also had your problem. If you use steam, check your overlay (shift + tab) to see if steam is playing audio clips in background of stellaris DLC. Mine was autoplaying and doing everything you are describing for last DLC I purchased. Just pause or turnoff autoplay.
