I read that Muslims are now part of Clans. Any information on how they work?

Supposedly, clans will work like feudal mechanics in CK2, where the opinion of vassal rulers determines how many levies they give you. Meanwhile, feudal characters in CK3 will provide fixed levies based on contracts (which can apparently vary in terms of harshness).

I hope they are truly distinct from Catholic gameplay. I want to have a different experience playing as a Muslim. There should also model they way the Caliphate was claimed by different parties.

I've heard they have a few other things that make them different, like vassals expect to be married to a relative of yours or something.

There was a long-running thread in the CK2 forums pitching mechanics for the Arab tribes, which were extremely important political structures in the Middle East. Maybe "clan government" is a nod to that?

Or, it might just be like Western Feudal, except they've moved feudal vassal management from realm-wide laws with opinion modifiers over to contracts between individual lieges and vassals while keeping other government types like Iqta the same.
