How do you free a specific slave?

I sold one of the slaves I 'gave a good tumble' which resulted in my infant daughter being a slave. I didn't really care at first, until I noticed she was a slave in Lys. That was a little too fucked up even for me so I decided I needed to bring her to Mereen. While I did manage to buy her, she is still listed as a slave. No automatic event fired, there is no decision in the intrigue tab, and the personal interaction events don't list an option either.

Is this not in-game, am I missing something, or is my game bugged?

Open the slave menu in the intrigue list then click on her name and a event should come up.

I'll check it out. I thought I didn't see anything relevant there but I probably missed it.
