I have saved games and when I tried to load them at the part where you select the country and campaign. Under the campaigns shows saved games and when i click on one nothing happens, and it won't let me start. What do I do?

Make sure you select your nation again.

And double posting especialy to bump a thread is against board rules.
Please do not do it again.

Isn't that what I said. ;)

Let's wait for him to ask first next time. ;)

Um can you clarify what your problem is? You have not posted before here.

Are you saying that when you select your save game, then your nation, it starts a new game instead of loading the save?

I am experiencing the same problem:

1.. Have my saves set to monthly.

2. I go to options , then click Save. I choose a nice name and save it.

3. When I go back to load my saved game, I select it, then I am prompted
to select a flag (??? it should remember which side I am playing for - no?)... when I select the flag, it starts over at the beginning of the scenario , showing the victory conditions etc etc.

Any help would be appreciated..

tks

Select the save, select the nation, game should proceed.

The reason you can select a nation is that it gives you the ability to switch around nations as the game progresses, this is a feature not a bug, one that many users enjoy and has been around since EU.

If it is starting the game from the begining then you obviously have not loaded the save. The save should start on the date it was saved or it is not a save game, so I really do not understand what you are saying by "it starts from the begining" because if you are trying to say what I think you are then there is no way it could be an acceptable option as you state.

I am having a bit of the same problem.
When i load af saved game, I have to choose my country again, but
when loaded, all my ongoing research has gone.
The research teams that I picked are there, but with no task.

Hmm never seen that, when I loaded my saved games I got all my research where I left it.
Check from save-file what it says there.

Just a suggestion for all those of you who finds that the "game starts from the beginning": please note the in-game date when you save. Then when you load and the game "starts from the beginning", look at the in-game date (and time). What does it say?

This test is to see if you are actually loading your save or if you are indeed reloading your campaign.

I'll se what i can find - when i get home tonight.
Tall order though -it's a mighty long file :p
Any clues to, where it can be found.
(Considering the possibility, that they might not be found in my save file :D )

Open it with any editor and use find to find "TAG = <coutry_id>"
example tag = GER

then find "country {TAG = <coutry_id>" (I am not sure I dont have any save files near me now)

then go down until you find your assinged teams and under them is
process = XXX five times.

example
process = 100 <- this is % of progress
process = 100
process = 100
process = 10.21
process = 0

So if all are 0 then they are not research anything.

This might be little bit offtopic now.

Very simple test, start a new game, play into the next month, save the game, exit the game reboot the computer, start the game, load the save, does it have the date you started the scenario or does it properly have the next months date?
