may be relate to port exit zones specified in the province file. AFAIR in CORE mod we had to remove a port in a certain province to prevent a trapping there.

I am also unable to port-strike them, as it is a friendly port. They should be made to leave the port, have vessels destroyed, or have them confiscated and turned over to the Italians.

Can you recall in which order the UK lost the province to its enemy? This may be related to the trapping in the Suez Canal.

Can you use "full control" to order the UK fleet into province 2454(Coast of Alexandria)? If so, this would unbug your existing situation.

This is how thing are now:

If province 900(Suez) is enemy controlled, then entering province 2453(Suez Canal) is not possible.

There are 3+2 provinces adjacent to the Canal. 901(Port Said), 4(As Suways), 1025(Qusayr), 900(Suez) and 1801(Sharm El-Sheikh).

The Port Seazone are
4: 2453
900: 2554

1801: 2453

To remove the current bug province 4 would need to lose its port enterily, as there is no safe route of escape.

Province 900 would need to use 2454. The provinces 1025 and 1801 would need to use 2455(North Red Sea).


Other Straits may also need to be adapeted. Gibraltar seems safe, but the Sea of Marmara near Istanbul may also be unsafe.

That would require hardcoded changes for a situation that can be resolved with softcoded changes.

Unfortunatly at this point there is a significant amount of known hardcoded bugs.
