It's now 306AC, and I've been playing for almost exactly 100 years. I was thinking the event to start the invasion of the Others would be tied to 300AC, but apparently not. How long does it usually take for them to come in scenarios not tied to the book/show storyline?

My whole plan this game was to build a hermit kingdom in Ib and watch as the whole world get consumed by the Others, and I'm kind of disappointed that they haven't come yet. If the MTTH is too long, I may just look through the files to find out how to trigger it with the console.

Also, on an unrelated note tied to this campaign, the whole thing about the Ibbenese not being able to mate with other cultures doesn't seem to work. As you can see from this screenshot, this guy had an Ibbenese mother and a Westerosi father, and inherited the appearance of his mother.

There is no set date for it to trigger it has a MTTH of 100 years. The only exception to that is if you start in ACOK or AFFC where it is already under way.

Yeah, I went into the files and checked - it looks like it's actually a MTTH of 100 years as long as the top 3 northmost provinces have harsh winter, so it should take somewhat longer than 100 on average due to summers.

Is it only triggered strictly at the beginning of ACOK or AFFC? If I start in 298, while ned is still alive, will the Others then be tied to the 100 year MTTH event?

As I said it is only directly triggered during ACOK and AFFC otherwise it just follows the usual MTTH
