how many fleets should i build in a normal MP game and of what class?
actually, i will build 2 Fleets of 9BBs and 3CVs (4air à Carrier, 12 Air à fleet).
1 Fleet of Fuso Class BBs, the other of Yamato class.

is it enough to rule america or did i have to build one more fleet of yamato or Fuso Class BBs?
If i do so, the IC will decrease strange... only got 380 ik and one Yamato costs 17 IC. Also i will have to build the aircrafts... 38 for 3 fleets. :(

Can any of the carriers actually hold 4 squadrons? If you are playing Japan in an MP game and have the time and resources to build battleships and carriers, you need to locate some new players. :) In a 6-8 player MP game, competent opponents won't give you that sort of time as a luxury.

Hey,
Forget the BBs, they take too long ro research and to build. Japs have a really good advantage with CAs and you can actually research and build CAs which are better than your existing BBs
It's far better to develop air supremacy than build huge fleets. Planes are cheaper in terms of ic and time costs, compared to ships. A successful Jap player will just need to stop the USA operating in the Pacific. Japs can then concentrate on conquering Asia :p .

are CAs Cruiser?
well, i never saw a crusier who is better than a BB...
i thought it would be good to build 9 BBs of Fuso class (18 Attack and defence, 7 IK) and 3 carrier + adv. fighters. But the Americans will have adv. fighters soon, and their fighters will be better than mine, so i would lost the battle.

You'd be better off putting the IC's you'd spend on those 9 BB's into the air tech tree and upgrade your planes. Those BB's would just be targets for the superior American planes. You have the advantage of defense. Generally, he has to bring his planes via carriers. Unless he has several basic or a few improved carriers, you can maintain a numerical advantage in the air. Use stacks of air from as many land bases as possible and hit his fleets in waves. Done properly, you'll deliver punishing damage.

Make certain you have a couple infantry on any island base where you have planes. This protects the planes from a quick landing. At the same time, make certain your planes are within range of another base if you find you have to bug out.

IMO, it's better to research tech to improve the ships you have, plus build some Improved CA's, which you start with the tech for (better than 150mm BB's), lots of DD's or subs (which you will want to research good tech for), and maybe a couple improved carriers (won't take long to research). Get good aircraft tech, and don't chintz out on your inf tech.

MP is a whole different ballgame from SP. Most SP strategies of Japan vs. USA will get your butt handed to you in MP.

CA's are vital for sure, putting all those BBs together may look nice, but it's not a balanced fleet. You should definately have DDs in your fleets, especially to deal with US subs in the future. The BBs are better IMO spread to only 1 per fleet and definately assigned to your TPs to get the BB bonus in invasions. The rest are fine to put into seperate fleets. Also CV are great when used 3-4 per, I don't remember any CV basing 4 air units though. :)
