How stable is 1.59 beta3 - worth running over 1.58?

Hi - I'm coming back to For the Glory after not playing for at least 18 months, I've dabbled with EU3/HttT with the Magna Mundi mod, which I thought was okay, but think I actually had more fun playing FTG/AGCEEP, so here I am... Anyway am thinking of starting a new game, but was wondering whether I should use the 1.58 release or try the 1.59 beta 3? Does the latter fix more things than it breaks? i.e. is it worth playing over 1.58? Or is it more likely to CTD? Thanks
