As a matter of fact you can edit the provinces.csv in the DB folder to get the desired effect, but for me it's like cheating.
Make sure that the province in question is not occupied by a trading post. If it is, make it a full colony to get the port it might have. Basically any province that shows a beach in its province view has a port.
No, no, I meant adding a port from the province.csv. I wish certain provinces (like Algarve and Siena) had a port.
Well first you change the province from inland to coastal. Then you specify which seazone they should link to. Then the most difficult part, add coordinates for the port so that it is actually displayed and in a proper location. And be sure to make all changes in the proper columns, also make a copy of the province.csv first if you would do something really really wrong.
