I was thinking I would like to try a scenario set after onin war, where not so many clans are at war, but that probly wont happen, so is it possible to change the relations setup at the start of the game, so that no clans are at war?

Seems as though it would be a fairly simple change... perhaps delete the "Onin War" and "Kanto War" documents in the wars folder?

Anyone who thinks clans blob too much at the start, I suggest you start with no onin war, it creates for a much less chaotic game, and borders stay the same for awhile (as in history, I think.), allowing you to focus on internal affairs for awhile.

Hmm? Do the different starts change the diplomatic setup at game start?

No, the bookmarks are suggestions, but every start is the same. If you look up a few posts, you'll see that it was suggested that he delete documents in the wars folder, which would mean that all clans are at peace from the outset.

gonna try this tomorrow thanks!.. it will seem a bit better for me to do something like this because starting as Oda in the beginning is very difficult, and you pretty much gotta plot from day one to break away or eventually you'll just be overrun and lose the game since you can't control the armies.. And the Shiba Clan seems to have an awesome have to push forward and attack instead of protecting it's homeland when 4,000 troops are invading Owari.. grr.. lol
