How to get Spirit Update using Paradox Launcher?

I use the Paradox Launcher to play the game. (Win 10 version.) My game client is still 227.831 and Paradox Launcher is still at version 1.0-beta-14.

I can't get the launcher nor the game client to update. What to do?

I don't have a Steam account. I was given a code to unlock the game in Steam, and to link it to my steam account, but I don't have one. I could create a new account and just unlock the game there - perhaps that is the only way to keep the game up-to-date.

I actually had a similar issue until I figured this out. You actually have to log into the Paradox launcher with your Paradox account to be able to update the game in the Launcher.

Every time I went to play the game I would log into the Paradox Launcher with my Paradox account. Never once did the Launcher nor the game get an update. There were no buttons or controls to check for new version, etc. There was a screen which displayed the current game client version, but it never changed and as I said there were no buttons to update the game or check for updates.

So...I uninstlaled the game along with the Paradox launcher. I created a new Steam account and used my Steam activation code to add it to my Steam library. I have all the updates now and I'm happy.
