How to install 2 Hearts of Iron on one computer?

I'm in 2 continual multiplayer game one is on patch 1.2 and the other is started anew with 1.3a. I installed 1.3a hoping I can just install HoI 2 on a different partition or harddrive but for the life I don't see anyway of doing this. Can ya fill me in?

Well you can do a fresh install, then copy the entire contents to another folder then you can patch each one the way you want.

maybe have to patch the first install to 1.2 then copy it then patch the original to 1.3A.

For which one to use as default for patching you must change the folder in the registry.
