How to make Abe work ?

I've tried to play Aberration and it didn't work.

I've downloaded and unzipped Abe, put it in an Aberration folder in my EU2 folder, opened the .bat file, skipped the animations, selected single player and my country, pressed the start button, and then as it was loading the scenario, the script and everything... it crashed at the end of the loading.

What's wrong, Doctor ?

Which version of Abe did you download?

What version of EUII are you using?

You probably need to use the beta patch for EU2 from this thread. (Only the latest one)

I cleaned up a bit in the stickied thread with the 1071 version of Abe I, so if anyone wants to write (or copy and paste) in some nice instructions about how to install Abe (or what is needed to do) I'd be much obliged

All right, I've installed the beta patch and it now works.
I didn't know you needed the patch. I was just using 1.08.
