I don't seem to find an easy way to see what state of development my Provinces are in (is there already a governor there ? Where aren't there any marshalls yet ? What level is the fortification in place ? How many still need a Landrat ? Etc.)

I can click them one by one to find out, but that's not comfy and does not allow to act according to priority since you lack the complete picture. I's like repairing the places where you happen to be at the time and possibly neglecting a more urgent update elsewhere.

I can also F6, but then I get a static (though sortable)informative list, but no way to click-and-jump-to-Province (and jump back to the selection screen afterwards. Civ2 style, so to say)

Am I right in assuming that such a citymanagement functionality is nonexistant ?
This seems so strange that I can't believe it. I'm missing something, right ?

Please do enlighten me.

One by one. Yes unfortenantly that is how you have to do it. After playing this game for a year or so you will probably don't think of it at all. It just go by 'automatique' :)

Just imagine that you're sitting at your capital, not very well informed about the state of your provinces. Everytime you're clicking one imagine that a delegation of this province showed up at court asking for better fortification, trading privilegiums etc...
Well, that's the way I'm able to do the work

All this clicking will end me up with a carpal syndrome.
Besides, this is the era where centralised government emerged which means the information came to the sovereign and not anymore the other way around.

Pray tell me if the present implementation was a deliberate choice and if so, what justified it in terms of 'authentic' gameplay experience ?

It's not terrible, of course. It is perhaps indicative of the fact that one should play at a more leasurely pace.

I have been thinking of it since march my friend, but it was just not IMPORTANT enough to be implemented. Other things was more important as playbalance, bug hunting etc. Maybe later... :)

Greven, I take that as a promise, and little do I care if it wasn't meant to be one. :)

Ok, ChyronO, I understood your point, but then imagine -until this feature is implemented - that you're getting a report or a letter of the one who's in charge of your province. You're right, this feature is definitley needed but what are you expecting about centralized government in 16th and 17th century??? Highspeed information????

Best wishes
