I am about as dumb as can be when it come to computers. So please bare with my obvious query.

I have played Rome "vanilla" (as it appears to be called) absolutely to death. I just recently learned about these mods and they look amazing.

How do i mod my game? From looking around it seems fairly simply, generally download the mods and apparently put them into my Rome mod folder. How do i find my rome folders including the mod folder? I purchased my version of Rome Gold from Steam (i dont know if that affects anything).

My main question is simply how do i find all my rome folders? ( i feel like im so close to endless enjoyment from this video game)

I would greatly appreciate a basic simply explanation on using mods.

Usually the mods you download are compressed to RAR or ZIP files. Unpack the file to your desktop or something, there may be a folder which includes mod folder and mod file or just the mod folder and mod file. In case you have them inside a folder you have to take them out of there.

Next step is to find the folder where you installed Rome, usually it's C:/program files/paradox interactive/Europa Universalis: Rome
If it isn't there you can use the search function.

There you'll find a folder called 'mod'. Simply copy (or move) the mod folder and .mod file in there and you can choose the mod in the launcher window.

In case you are interested in modding the game yourself, take a look at my modding guide, it should give some help and I will be updating it for modding other things than making nations.
