How to play multiplayer ?

I've just received HOI, but i cannot connect to valkyrienet server in multiplayer menu ! What's wrong ?
My version is 1.01b and the italian patch does not exists.
I do not have a router or firewall to connect to internet and there is no FAQ for my problems.
How can i find other players ? Please help me!

Maybe a simple answer ?

There are lots more qualified people then me to tell you exactly what the issues are, but in laymen terms Valk net is very unstable.

Why I dont know but in poking around here for little over a month and logging on to valk myself, its down alot, it isnt the version of the game your running or your PC set up.

To get into MP scroll down the boards there is an ICQ listing of players who host games, they give you thier IP addies and you connect to them directly.

In addition this is a positive community, you will get as much help as possible should the info be out there.

Thanks for your information.
Scrolling into the forum saw a list of ICQ number so
I thought that it is possible to play with others players
directly calling them with ip number. My question is another.
I own EU2 and it runs fine over valkyrienet. I want to know if
it is a large scale problems, so NOBODY can play with others, or
it is a local problem, maybe some different configuration on PC or
other things!
Dos paradox knows this bug and what it says ? Why EU2 runs fine ( I played a lot of times over valkyrienet ) and HOI not ?
Do not hey use the same code for multiplayer ?

Then you know vnet is down a lot, maybe it has to do with your version, but i dont really think that should matter when trying to get into v-net
