As the title says. I was suprised to find out when I turned fraps on that its capped at 30 fps. Its very noticeable, as the game feels sluggish when I'm moving the screen stutters. I've tried turning on Vsync on in nvidia control panel.

I'm running a i5-3570k @ stock speed, 550ti gtx 1gb, 8 gb of corsair 1600mhz ram. This game doesn't seem like it'd be too demanding on my computer so how can i get more fps.

Vsync is on by default in CK2, that's where the cap comes from. If you try to force vsync to off in the driver the game hangs while loading the menu screen!
Seems like Paradox have madea few shortcuts in the graphics programming.

Vsync is "forced on" by Magicka, yes.
But with the 550ti gtx you should be getting 50-60 fps.
What resolution are we talking about ?
And have you tried (tested) to play windowed. Will probably release any "capping".

The only persistent "looks like capping" I know of is when using some cards in crossfire. That have been a problem for a few. Probably driver related (?) and behaving like Magicka only use one of the cards.

Also. Please do check so you have .NET 3.5 activated.
It is important. ( A necessity really, only 4.0 will at the very least give an unstable game ) http://windows7forums.com/windows-7...tall-net-framework-3-5-sp1-windows-7-a-2.html
