Do contracts still take one day to complete in campaign mode? (I haven't played campaign mode since the 1.3 release).

I'd like contracts in career mode to take one day to complete. I know this will hurt my score but I'm not really interested in that. Is there a way to restore the old behaviour? Seems silly that my poor mechwarriors are forced to do 5 missions without sleep, and I like the idea of completing small repairs on mechs whilst missions are happening.

I know there are fatigue mods but I don't want to go that far, I just want to restore the pre-1.3 behaviour in campaign mode for career mode.

I'm thinking of patching Contract.CompleteContract() but if I could do something in the JSON that would be preferable.

Update:

I decided to just go ahead and make a DLL mod for this see the mod thread here: https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/foru...ehaviour-of-contracts-taking-one-day.1143849/

I like your idea and I hope a Mod is forthcoming in the weeks ahead to make it so.

Going from contract to contract to contract (or even more), especially with the ability to patch all the Armor on every Mech between every same day fight... stretches the BATTLETECH Supension of Disbelief (vice BattleTech) even further. Not to mention how very stressed and exhausted MechWarriors who fought and fought and fought in all those battles across all those contracts (upwards of 5 or 6 contracts at times, especially when you follow a contract to a planet in the first part.)

Taking at least a day between contracts makes a world of immersive and authentic sense to me. (3-5 days is perhaps more realistic, but for abstraction purposes a token and single Day is well enough I believe.)

Great thread, Good @ClintonM. I look forward to where responses may take us. :bow:

Although it's entirely possible I simply missed it, I have not found nor heard of any variable in the JSON files that controls this.

@ClintonM, outstanding!

Well done, Good Sir. :bow:
