It's really jarring when you're enjoying the game's official soundtracks (base, V2 remastered and DLC) only to have it suddenly pause because you opened an event. I can't find a way in the options to stop this from happening. Any ideas?

You could try making a mod that changes
Code:
can_be_interrupted = yes
to
Code:
can_be_interrupted = no
for each song in game/music/music.txt and game/dlc/name_of_dlc/music/music.txt.

I would love to have this as an option as well.

I have turned off the "stinger music" in the options but the soundtrack still cuts off whenever I open an event. Very immersion-breaking and takes me out of the flow. Curiously, you can sometimes (but only sometimes) hear the piece of music still playing very softly in the background but most of the time it just cuts it off abruptly.

A simple option of a tickbox saying "Events interrupt music" would suffice and make the gameflow infinitely better. Maybe make the soundtrack like 20% lower in volume when an event opens.

Event SFX are, without a single exception, a collection of unbearable grunts, wails and shrieks. The easiest and most satisfactory solution is just to remove them alltogether.

There's at least two mods that do this with two different methods, one by me and one by someone else, just search "No Event Sounds" in the workshop

I searched for it, I couldn't find any title that alluded to that. Are any of these mods exclusively dealing with the event sounds interrupting the soundtrack and also do they disable ironman mode/achievements?

Did you search the phrase I quoted? The names aren’t exactly creative.

One
Two

Yes, both deal with event sounds and no, no mod disables achievements.

My bad, I should pay more attention to the threads I'm replying to. I thought this was in the CK3 forums and now I feel like a clown... Could you make a similar mod for CK3?
Unfortunately CK3 is structured in a way that makes this more complicated to do. I’ve messed around with audio modding that before and I might take another shot at it but it might not be a drag and drop replacement like Vicky.
