As subject states, how do I reselect the island of Malta, once I have created/stationed an army there?

The army covers the entire island on the map, so wherever I click with the mouse, the army gets selected instead of the underlying island.

This effectively prevents building any and all improvements once an army is stationed there.

Any suggestions, other than disbanding the army, would be welcome !

he, he, I had that same problem with all the tiny islands in the map. What I do is click on the flags to see the political map and then you can click the province.

I've had the same problem with Zanzibar.
I've found selecting the adjacent sea first helps, then very gently hover over any exposed bits of land, trying to find the "Info on.." message.
Of course, Malta's smaller than Zanzibar...

Hey at least they didn't include Malta's sister island Gozo, which is even smaller than Malta....
(nice place for a holiday, though, and you can still see the remains of the Knights occupation)

Well, maybe that could have been a good idea actually because in cananry islands for instance, you can click in any island, not necesarily in the one where you have the city.
