In this video, we'll be taking a closer look at the move from 2D into 3D, what obstacles and possibilities arise when adding a whole new dimension to a game? Take a look to find out

In this video you’ll meet:

Game Director Gareth Wright who speaks about the idea and concept of Prison Architect 2.

Designer Natalie Wicks who will tell you more about the possibilities adding a new dimension has given the Prison Architect concept but also some of the challenges they experienced throughout the development.

Lead Artist Tim McCluskey who will tell you how the art team worked with the 2D art style and how they worked to retain the look of Prison Architect 1 whilst switching to 3D and also exploring the possibilities a new dimension offers.

hoping to see an episode based around the gameplay, really need to see that the systems are just as deep as they were in PA1, and that there's still a good atmosphere to the prisons that we build. the visuals definitely look way brighter and "happier" than PA1 which scares me a little bit that the game is trying to be way more PG.

Very excited for this. Hope this is very moddable and that the prisons do not have a "small" prisoner limit.

Very nice. I think they nailed the art side of it, the prisoners having hands is cool, they remind me of Mii characters on the Nintendo Wii. Also nice to see a UK developer. :)

PS Both Skylines 2 and this seem to be being done in Unity, thought that was cool.

I am still unsure about the art style, but I might grow to like it the more I see it. Multifloor prisons get me really excited, though, so I am looking forward to seeing more of the game.

As a correctional officer i like what i see. The cells look good, but little to bare. I believe i will not have the power after a 13h shift to play your game but i know some workmates play part 1 and have fun.
