HRE game revisited

The comming of Luther - a time of religious tension and an empire in crisis (COT) I made a post about the viability of german minors a while back with mixed reactions. A few seemed quite curious and others not. Ive now made a rough draft of a scenario and wondered who would be interested. I think myself that these nations will add more to the game than a mughal china etc as they are right in the center of the action. Also its nice to try something new every now and again. Its actually not all that radical though. It will be mostly a normal game and if they end up annexed then people can change to another nation. I have a good feeling about the idea though so you should give it a try. Even if you dont espacially like the idea, a nation like england for example shouldnt be too affected. Start Date - a while away (perhaps 2 months) Times - a weekday (possibly wedensday) 19:00 - 23:00cet Theme - RP relaxed game with a focus on central/western europe Features - random leaders, edited german minors, some kind of military tradition rules, rewards for RP play and showing up on time. scenario - edited 1520 to give german minors the following boosts (to be negotiated) -BB has had 1 prov edited our and the paltinate has had alasce edited in to give all 4 german minors 2 provs. -cores edited in to all german minors -mp and cc edited to minors capitols to give them around 30mp/45k support -mini COT edited to their capitols -govenor edited to their capitols -very nice sliders edited to them including quality, central, land -1000 ducats given to each Rules -as few as possible Guidelines - these are relaxed guidelines though you are required to make the effort - try to engage in RP and forum diplomacy as much as you can - you will be rewarded - dont JUST play to make your nation as big/rich as possible. Set original/interesting objectives for yourself -try to avoid obscene gangbanging but if you do then keep demmands small please -AARs are always fun and will be rewarded -Make your nations policys more open than usual. -If there is a failry even war going on then please avoid jumping in cowardly. At least if you do then dont do the old 'we only make peace terms together' thing that makes it into a gang. You should peace sep if it is sep war. -Feel free to change your style of play for different monarchs -Religious/zealous play i particularly like. It will be rewarded, especially before AOE. -try to play with the times - not asking for totaly historic play but rping through the ages is good. For example less focus on religion after AOE. spain - great responsibility for funding and holding the catholic world together england - as much freedom as always really though would be nice to get involved in the reformation holland/poland - i think poland may be better choice with holland left open france - could be tough if HRE stays together or easy if they can be broken apart austria - will likely be smaller than usual but great fun to play sweden - no denmark should make them strong though north germany will be crowded OE - would like a good war player here russia - like england will be less affected by the crowded germany bavaria - historcally a strong german nation with potential to expand in italy the palatinate - very rich historically with potential to expan north, east or south saxony - slightly more difficult position and so may require additional edit brandenburg - great potential but wont be able to expand as much as normal

I think you've got the concept of RP

the "purists" will say that RP is first and foremost pretending to be a king(or like leader) of the time and basing your ingame actions on that..
Most people will do what is best for the country and then cover it up with a historically plausible story.
